# Reading Topical Clusters

## What Are Topical Clusters?

Topical clusters are groups of related content themes identified by Topicker's analysis engine. Each cluster represents a specific topic area your website covers (or should cover). Clusters are mapped using semantic analysis of your content, competitor content, and search query patterns to identify the natural topic boundaries in your niche.

## Understanding Cluster Scores

Each cluster shows a coverage score (0–100) indicating how thoroughly you've addressed the topic. A score of 80+ means comprehensive coverage with few gaps. Scores below 50 indicate significant opportunities to create content. The score factors in article count, depth, entity density, and structural quality of existing content.

## Identifying Gaps

Within each cluster, Topicker identifies specific subtopics that are missing or under-covered. These gaps are ranked by citation potential — how likely an article on that subtopic would be to get cited by LLMs. High-potential gaps are highlighted with recommended article titles and keyword targets.

## Using Clusters for Planning

Use topical clusters to build your content calendar. Start with the clusters that have the highest citation potential but lowest current coverage. Within each cluster, prioritise the specific gaps that Topicker has flagged. This approach ensures every article you publish maximally strengthens your topical authority.
