# How Reports Are Generated

On this page

## The Analysis Pipeline

When you submit a URL, Topicker's analysis engine begins a multi-stage pipeline. First, it crawls and indexes the target website's content structure — pages, headings, internal links, and metadata. Then it performs entity extraction, identifying all named entities (people, tools, companies, concepts) across the content corpus.

## GEO Scoring Process

Each page is evaluated across the five GEO dimensions using a combination of NLP analysis and pattern matching calibrated against thousands of LLM-cited passages. The scoring model uses real citation data from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude to ensure scores reflect actual retrieval probability, not theoretical metrics.

## Competitive Mapping

Topicker automatically identifies content competitors by analysing keyword overlap, topical similarity, and LLM citation co-occurrence. It then runs the same GEO analysis on competitor content, producing comparative scores that reveal exactly where you lead, where you lag, and where opportunities exist.

## Report Delivery

Reports take up to 5 minutes to complete. You can minimize the tab and do something else while it works. Once ready, you'll receive an in-app notification, and an email notification if enabled. Reports are stored permanently in your account and can be re-accessed, exported, or shared at any time. Real-time updates are streamed to your dashboard as analysis progresses.
